Principal QA/Automation Engineer

Job Summary

Airgap Networks is working on cutting edge security solutions for ransomware protection based on a Zero-Trust Isolation Platform that confines ransomware to a single device.

We are looking for an experienced QA/Automation Engineer with networking/security background. The ideal candidate would have deep knowledge of Layer 2 – Layer 4 protocols such as DHCP, ARP, LLDP, CDP, TCP/IP, and VxLAN/GRE tunneling. Experience with encryption technologies such as IPSec, SSL/mTLS, PKE and other security related protocols such as Kerberos, OSPF authentication and SNMPv3 is also required. Experience developing automation frameworks, Python based test case development and writing end-to-end system/integration tests is desirable. The candidate needs to be familiar with microservice architectures and orchestration systems including Docker and Kubernetes.


Design and develop automation test frameworks and test suites to test Airgap products for reliability, scalability and resilience.

Planning and execution of test suites for each release.

Design and develop innovative test strategies to simulate customer usage scenarios.

Integrate regression test suites with CI/CD pipelines and monitor results.

Work closely with product managers, developers and engineering teams towards continuous delivery of high-quality software.


8+ years QA/Test development experience with Network and Security products

CCNA or equivalent knowledge and experience

Experience working with RESTful APIs, RBAC authentication and authorization and JWT processing.

Proficient in Python programming and test frameworks such as Unittest or PyUnit.

Experience with testing on cloud-based architectures.

Experience with testing on VM and container-based deployments.

Familiar with Agile development and testing process and environment

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or similar field

10+ years of software development experience.
